1. Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to provide for notice of disposition of
any land.
2. Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 324 of the Water Act 1989.
3. Revocation
The Water (Notice of Disposition of Land) Regulations 1990[1] are revoked.
4. Notice of disposition
For the purposes of section 159 of the Water Act 1989--
- (a)
a prescribed person in relation to the disposition of any land is a person who
disposes of any land in respect of which a fee has been imposed under section
259 of the Act by an Authority;
- (b)
the prescribed form is the form in the Schedule and contains the prescribed
particulars if all the particulars necessary to complete the form have been
inserted by or on behalf of the prescribed person referred to in paragraph (a);
- (c)
the prescribed person for receipt of the form is the Secretary of the Authority
which has imposed the fee under section 259 of the Act; (d)
the prescribed period within which notice must be given is one month after
disposal of the land.

General Information
The Water (Notice of Disposition of Land) Regulations 2000,
S.R. No. 78/2000 were made on 2 August 2000 by the Governor in
Council under section 324 of the Water Act 1989, No. 80/1989 and
came into operation on 2 August 2000.
The Water (Notice of Disposition of Land) Regulations 2000 will sunset
10 years after the day of making on 2 August 2010 (see section 5 of the
Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).
