(This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations amend the Feedingstuffs (Zootechnical Products) Regulations 1999 by introducing a Community method of analysis for the determination of lasalocid sodium in feedingstuffs, in implementation, in relation to zootechnical additives and products with zootechnical additives in them, of Commission Directive 1999/76/EC (OJ No. L207, 6.8.1999, p. 13). The Feedingstuffs (Zootechnical Products) Regulations 1999 implemented, in relation to such additives and products, a number of Community instruments including in particular Council Directive 70/524/EEC (OJ No. L270, 14.12.70, p. 1, OJ/SE Vol. 18, p. 4), with amendments up to and including those effected by Council Directive 96/51/EEC (OJ No. L235, 17.9.96, p. 39), on additives in feedingstuffs, and Council Directive 95/69/EC (OJ No. L332, 30.12.95, p. 15) which lay down the conditions and arrangements for approving and registering certain establishments and intermediaries operating in the animal feed sector. These Regulations also bring cross-references in the Medicated Feedingstuffs Regulations 1998 up to date. Notes: [1] S.I. 1972/1811.back [4] OJ No. L207, 6.8.1999, p. 13.back
