The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, being designated[1] for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972[2] in relation to the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Community, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by that section, and of all other powers enabling her in that behalf, makes the following Regulations: Title, extent and commencement 1. - (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Animals and Animal Products (Import and Export) (England and Wales) (Amendment) (England) (No. 2) Regulations 2002 and shall extend to England. (2) These Regulations shall come into force at 8.00 p.m. on 4th April 2002. Amendment of the Animals and Animal Products (Import and Export) (England and Wales) Regulations 2000 2. - (1) The Animals and Animal Products (Import and Export) (England and Wales) Regulations 2000[3] shall be amended in relation to England in accordance with the following provisions of this regulation. (2) In Schedule 3, Part I -
(This note is not part of the Order) These Regulations, which come into force at 8.00 p.m. on 4th April 2002, amend the Animals and Animal Products (Import and Export) (England and Wales) Regulations 2000 (S.I. 2000/1673, as amended) in relation to England to make provision to give effect to - Article 1 of Commission Decision 2002/242/EC (OJ No. L82, 26.3.2002, p.18) amending for the ninth time Decision 2001/327/EC (OJ No. L115, 25.4.2001, p.12) concerning restrictions to the movement of animals of susceptible species with regard to foot-and-mouth disease. A Regulatory Impact Assessment has not been prepared for these Regulations.
