FOODSTUFFS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1999

I, BRIAN COWEN, Minister
for Health and Children in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section
3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 ( No. 27 of 1972 ) hereby make the
following Regulations:
|
|
|
|
1. These Regulations may
be cited as the European Communities (Official Control of Foodstuffs)
(Amendment) Regulations, 1999.
|
|
|
|
2. In these Regulations:
|
|
|
|
“the Principal
Regulations” means the European Communities (Official Control of Foodstuffs)
Regulations, 1998 [ S.I. No. 85 of 1998 ].
|
|
|
|
3. The Principal
Regulations are hereby amended by:
|
|
|
|
(a) the substitution, wherever it
appears, for “Article” of “Regulation”, for “Articles” of “Regulations”, for
“sub-article” of “paragraph”, and for “sub-articles” of “paragraphs” except
in regulation 10(1) and 23(1).
|
|
|
|
(b) in
regulation 10(1), the substitution for “subarticles”
of “regulation” and the substitution for “Article” of “regulation”.
|
|
|
|
(c) in
regulation 7, the substitution for “Articles 8 to 10” of “these
regulations”.
|
|
|
|
(d) in
regulation 11, the substitution for the words “In exercising his powers
under Articles 6 to 10 of these Regulations” of “In exercising his powers
under these regulations”.
|
|
|
|
(e) in
regulation 23(3), the substitution for “93/99/EC” of “93/99/EEC”.
|
|
|
|
|
|
